Migrate from Simply Plural
imPlural can read Simply Plural exports. Your members, groups, custom fronts, and per-member info come along when you switch.
Step by step instructions
- In Simply Plural, go to Settings → Account → Export your data. Select Request data export.
- You should get an email containing a link to download your data, and optionally a copy of your avatars.
- In imPlural, go to Settings → Import/Export → Import.
- Upload the .json file you downloaded earlier to the upload area, and optionally on the next step, choose to upload the avatars .zip file into the other upload area.
- Follow the import wizard. You can choose a few things about the import, and it will give you a chance to review the imported data before you confirm.
In case of confusion
Imports are still being polished. You may occasionally be prompted to skip the importing process. This usually happens when your data is taking unusually long to process. Some data, such as avatars, can still be finalized safely after you finish the importing process.
